At AES, we are committed to working closely with our clients, contractors, stakeholders and communities in our efforts to bring safer, greener and more affordable energy solutions to Vietnam. Since joining AES Vietnam as Stakeholder Officer, Bao has been dedicated to understanding more about the needs of stakeholders and communities, while sharing AES Values with them.
Bao is mainly responsible for the operation of the Binh Thuan office and leads the implementation of social impact programs in the province. The programs are designed to contribute to improving lives and making a lasting impact on local communities in Ham Tan district, where AES’ 2,250 MW Son My No. 2 (CCGT) power plant and the $1.5-billion Son My LNG import terminal will be located.
Prior to joining AES, Bao worked in various community development projects which were implemented and financed by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, Save the Children Australia and United Nations in Vietnam. In his position as Area Development Programme Manager of World Vision Vietnam for four years, he led the team’s efforts in planning, developing and monitoring various community projects focusing on education, health and poverty reduction.
