With 19 years' experience in energy project development in Vietnam for global firms, Hoang Quang Trung currently spearheads business development for AES, specifically managing the 2,250 MW Son My II LNG Power Plant project.

Prior to his current role, Hoang Quang Trung held leadership positions at multinational firms including Nexif Energy and Sunseap Energy. His responsibilities involved renewable energy project development, managing wind and solar projects with capacities of 400MW and 168MWp respectively, as well as BESS and project M&A activities.

Trung's past roles encompass consulting, developing, operating, and constructing large-scale coal-fired power projects, including the 1,080 MW Mong Duong 1, 1,242 MW Mong Duong 2 BOT, and 110 MW An Khanh thermal plants.

He holds an Electrical Engineering degree and has pursued an MBA program.
